Climate change is a health emergency.

We are now in a state of “Code Red,” and it’s time to end fossil fuel expansion.

On September 6th, 2021. editors of over 200 national and international medical, nursing, and public health journals called on the world’s leaders to act on climate immediately.  They note “The greatest threat to global public health is the continued failure of world leaders to keep the global temperature rise below 1.5° C and to restore nature.”

Despite the overwhelming scientific evidence that we need to leave fossil fuels in the ground, Minnesota’s government has green-lit the expansion of the Enbridge Line 3 tar sands oil pipeline. If it is put into operation, Line 3 will accelerate the damage to our climate, releasing carbon emissions equivalent to that of 50 coal plants every year, endangering the health of generations to come.
