Committees

Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate educates health professionals, the public, and policymakers about the impacts of climate change on health, and advocates for policies and institutional changes that address climate change mitigation and build resilience to protect public health.

Our membership represents a wide array of health professions, including public health, environmental health and sustainability experts, nurses, physicians, academics, allied health workers, and other health professions.

Our work is carried out by the following committees:

Education

Projects of this committee include planning and hosting conferences and webinars, hosting a Climate and Health Study Group, curating a speakers’ bureau, and developing curricula.

Policy/Advocacy

Committee work includes overseeing and carrying out HPHC policy campaigns and working on state and federal climate and energy policy initiatives.

Healthcare Sustainability

Committee work includes collaborating with and supporting health care organizations to reach their sustainability goals to protect public health and the environment.
